Fayre Times Festival 2016 - Taking a break

Fayre Times Festival will be taking a rest in 2016. Unfortunatly our venue for the past two years (the superb Royal Gunpowder Mills) will be unable to host us in the future.

We are hopeful that we can find a site for 2017, but that site must be willing to go into partnership with us and in a location that works for the festival and its attendees.

We will, of course, keep you informed about future shows, and the coordinators of the festival thank you all for your continued interest.

Site Restoration

Due to problems with our hosting company I have had to restore the site from a backup. This backup was made before the recent major update to the underlying structure of the site, so I am now having to re-do all that work.

Please bear with me while I do this, there may be some pages which do not work for a while or certainly functionality that is missing for a short while.

Many thanks for your patience,
The Webmaster.

Fayre Times Festival III

September 19th – September 20th 2015

The Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey, Essex, UK
(London & South East England)

The Fayre Times Festival is now in its third year, and each year we improve on the last! Our festival is a lot like the American Renaissance Fayre, combined with elements of events such as Castlefest and Elf Fantasy Fayre. It has been designed to bring people from a myriad of similar and related hobbies and interests together in one place. Here they will be able to demonstrate their hobbies to others including members of the public.

Unlike other re-enactment events our battles will not be historical re-enactments and so our battles will never become predictable.  We will also have LARP battles and displays alongside the historical re-enactments.

We will also have role-play games, war games and board games, along with traders selling the latest gear running alongside the battles and displays.

At the same time we will be able to build on the success of each year, providing both the public and the members of the various hobbies and interests a slightly different experience each time.

We will have competitions, battles, games and much more going on to keep everyone interested and entertained. We are also seeking to bring together a large group of traders which represent our key disciplines; so that those attending might find everything they are looking for all in one place.

The archery competition returns due to popular demand for its second year!

We have a slightly different prize pool this year.  Competition rules sign-up form, the timetable and the prizes can all be found on the competition page of the site.

Fayre Times Festival is in its second year! We hopefully have a small group of followers, but we will still rely on word-of-mouth to promote the festival.

June 2013

The main media campaign begins this month with us advertising on London, Essex, Kent and Suffolk radio stations, local newspapers and media organisations. This means if you want to be included in the pre-event publicity we need you to confirm you are attending before the end of this month.

We cannot stress how important that will be for you as traders and exhibitors and of course us as the company running the event. If you sign up after June not only will it cost more with regards traders it will mean you will have missed out on the first and second batch of publicity.

So please sign up now so we can spread the word of your involvement.
